He was born on July 10, 1900 in Vsetín in Moravia and died in 1983. He worked alternately in Prague and Paris. He was a student of the Prague Academy under the leadership of Professors Preisler, Nechleba and Professor Krattner's special. He created paintings in the manner of old Italian and Holland masters, penetrated into the way of their perception of colors and their application on canvas, imitating the period patina of paintings. Then he moved on to an impressionist portrait of the French type and to a neo-classical smooth painting. He continued his studies in Vienna and Paris, where he worked in copying workshops in the Louvre. He went on study trips to Italy, Spain and France. He exhibited in Prague, Košice, Brno, Mor. Ostrava, Hradec Králové and Olomouc. (Toman's Dictionary)
