Oldřich Kulhánek

Grafik Born 26.2. 1940 in Prague. He studied at SOŠV in Prague and under prof. K. Svolinsky at The Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. In 1971 he was arrested and imprisoned for defaming the representatives of friendly socialist states. In the 1980s he created lithographs that were inspired by the human face and human hands, the work of Georgie Orwell, the Clowns of the Needs, The Great Žranice, The Successful Pig, etc. He designed Czech banknotes and also the cycle Tunny Money, where he applies a sense of humor.
